The number of coronavirus infected people in India are rising day by day. Amid this pandemic, on Thursday in New Delhi, the South Korean Ambassador Shin Bong-Kil launched a social media campaign – “#StayStrongCampaign” to encourage the brave fight against the COVID-19 outbreak. 

This campaign started with the Facebook post on the official Embassy of Korea page. The South Korean Ambassador Shin Bong-Kil made a Facebook post saying: “With the coronavirus outbreak accelerating, the pandemic is a challenge for all.

In this time of struggle, let’s participate in the #StayStrong campaign to combat the virus altogether.

  1. Make your own logo @stay_strong_campaign
  2. Upload the logo on your social media with hashtag #StayStrongCampaign
  3. Tag THREE friends to relay this campaign.”

The Ambassador in his address to the people of India said the people interested to be a part of the campaign can make their logo around the subject @stay_strong_campaign. They can upload the same logo with the hashtag #StayStrongCampaign on all the social media platforms. While uploading the logo, they have to tag their THREE friends to continue the chain of the campaign. 

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea (ROK) made a post with the photograph of the South Korean Ambassador Shin Bong-Kil with the placard in his hands showing the message “Stay Strong – Fight Against COVID-19”. In the photograph of the ambassador, the background was having a flag of South Korea and a map of India as well.

Above all, India has a good strength of 15,000 South Korean nationals staying in various Indian cities. The majority of the foreign travelers left the country amid coronavirus outbreak by using specially chartered flights. The people from South Korea decided to stay in India only.

On 5th April, the 221 Korean nationals including some old people, women, children and those who require medical attention left for Korea. They left India with the help of special Korean Air aircraft. The rest of them are still staying in India.

The people are participating in this campaign to encourage the front-line fighters and the public. The campaign is all about motivating the public to stay strong in this crisis.

The total number of cases in India has surpassed 6500 on Saturday, including 239 fatalities. More than 235 patients are reported to have recovered. The coronavirus patients are increasing in India with every passing day. The whole world needs positive encouragement to fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
