The coronavirus infection is increasing its pace in India. The country recorded the highest number of coronavirus patients in a day. On Sunday, India records 909 COVID-19 patients and 34 deaths in the last 24 hours, said Health Ministry.

Health Ministry’s Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said the government of India is “extra prepared” for the pandemic. The government is increasing the testing capacity for COVID-19 patients. The government of India is working day and night to make the nation extra prepared in the time of urgency. AIIMS and NIMHANS and including 14 more institutes will mentor the medical colleges and will help in the expanding coronavirus testing capacity said, Lav Agrawal.

Around 1,86,906 samples tested across the country, of which 7,953 patients are positive for COVID-19. In the last five days, 15,747 samples tested per day and 584 patients found positive per day, said ICMR professional in the press conference. He also answered the queries related to the vaccine, 40 plus vaccines are under development but none of them is prepared for the next stage.

Maharashtra reported the highest number of cases

Maharashtra contributed the highest number of COVID patients in 24 hours. Around 221 new cases and 22 deaths registered in Maharashtra.

Delhi is experiencing an increase in the pace of COVID

85 fresh COVID-19 cases with 5 deaths reported in Delhi on April 13. The total number of positive cases in Delhi reached 1,154 and the death toll at 24.

Uttar Pradesh also reported new cases in the last 24 hours

28 coronavirus positive cases were reported from Uttar Pradesh On April 13. The total number of cases in the state reached 480.

On April 13, the cases in India hit the count of 9,240 with 331 deaths and 1,096 patients recovered. The whole world is suffering from coronavirus pandemic.

Globally the number of COVID-19 patients has surpassed 1.8 million, including more than 113,000 fatalities. More than 421,000 patients are recovered.
