Recently forest guards of Dehradun forest division has shown a great courage by rescuing a leopard from a school. According to sources a leopard has entered the campus of DSB school in Rishikesh on March 24th . Although the school was empty but it was a challenge for the officers of Dehradun forest division to rescue it.
The forest guards after a long rescue operation, finally caught the leopard. During the operation, one of the guards got injured by the leopard, but his situation is out of danger now. IFS Vaibhav Singh, posted a short video of the leopard on twitter and informed about this operation. He later in his second tweet informed about the success of the operation. Also that one of the guards injured while confronting the leopard.
It is not the first time in Rishikesh when a leopard found in a public place. In fact leopards are found in such places quite often. About an year ago, a leopard entered the toilet of a house in the thickly populated Muni ki Reti area of Rishikesh, created a scare. It took six hectic hours to tranquilise and rescued it safely. Later it was put in a cage and sent to Chidiyapur rescue center of Haridwar.
